The mission of CASA for the Cross Timbers Area is to ensure that abused and neglected children secure a permanent, nurturing environment, while working to meet the ongoing needs of the whole child. We accomplish this through recruiting, training and supporting community volunteers who advocate for the best interests of these children in the court system.

For Every Child

“To give a child a CASA is to give them a voice. To give them a voice is to give them hope. And to give them hope is to give them the world. I believe that with all my heart.”  Pamela Butler, former foster youth

Thank you to the Texas Bar Foundation

This year, the Texas Bar Foundation awarded CASA for the Cross Timbers Area a $7,340 grant to help continue its mission. Since its inception in 1965, the Texas Bar Foundation has awarded more than $16 million in grants to law-related programs. Supported by members of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar Foundation is the nation’s largest charitably-funded bar foundation.

The funds were used to increase retention of volunteers by partial reimbursement for all volunteers’ mileage, supporting lodging and meal costs for trips over 4 hours one-way, by providing subscriptions to software for online report and document submission, and awarding scholarships to National CASA Conference.
