CASA CTA Welcomes New Board Member

CASA for the Cross Timbers Area welcomed a new member to its Board of Directors. Barbara Martinez of Stephenville is the newest addition to the CASA CTA board. Barbara brings an extensive background in education and a wealth of knowledge to our organization.

Barbara earned her Bachelor’s degree from the Universidad La Salle, Mexico City, in Computer Information Systems. She also received her Master’s degree in Education with a minor in Spanish from Tarleton State University and The University of Texas at Arlington. She was a Bilingual Teacher for 15 years in the Elementary grade levels and is now working on her second Master’s Degree at the University of North Texas to become an educational diagnostician.   

Barbara and her husband, Amauri Martinez have been owners of B & A MediaTech since 2010. Barbara loves doing photography and videography for their various events within North Texas. She is also a Spanish Instructor at Tarleton State University, teaching online and face-to-face classes.

On why she wanted to join the CASA board:

“I believe that nurturing children in a community is essential. By helping families and their kids, we assure a strong and educated society.”
